Hanneken Engelborgh joined Monkeys United 5 months ago and started to develop his skills very fast while training in the Netherlands. At trainingscamps in Amsterdam, he developed his sprinting capacities, in Eindhoven he increased his skills on some very technical tracks and between Leeuwarden and Groningen he managed to develop his flat road abilities. During his holiday in Limburg, he even improved on the hills, but he somehow stopped developing in the last 3 months.
"He always had the ambition to win the Nederlandse Tour, but he had to develop his time trial abilities in order to do so. So we trained this around Middelburg, where there is a great track to practise, but he didn't seem to improve at all. This was quite a bummer for him and made him feel sad", said Hurps, the manager of the Monkeys. The sprinter of the Monkeys got in a little crisis because of this and didn't deliver in the races. For this reason, the management came to a solution.
New lead-out Robert Galagan, also a belgian rider who lives in Vlaanderen, said to the management that there is a great TT-centre in his neighbourhood. Knowing how bad Engelborgh wanted to improve these skills, he was send there and when he came back, he felt like he was born again. A small vacation in Belgium and improves TT-skills, now let's see if it will be enough to play an important role in the Nederlandse Tour.
